Michael Kenna

MICHAEL KENNA

Michael Kenna (born 1953) is an English photographer best known for his black & white, unusual, landscapes with ethereal light achieved by photographing at dawn or at night with exposures of up to 10 hours.

Below is few of his works:

This photo was taken at South Korea on 2007. I find the photo is really calming. Although it is just a photo of pine trees, but it really gives a good impact as it has a good composition and the reflection of the pine trees from the water, makes it more interesting.

The tittle of this photo is Silent World. I find this photo is really interesting. From afar, it looks like an illustration but actually it is a photograph.

All of his photography is minilimalist. Not messy and only focus on what he is going to show.

From this photographer's photos, i learn that, to have a nice photo you have to think creatively on how to compose it. Even a photo of reflection of Pine Trees the photos turn out really well.
